Altrad Qatar – Sustainability Week 2025 Initiatives

As part of Qatar Sustainability Week 2025, Altrad Qatar has implemented initiatives aligned with the nation’s environmental goals, focusing on emission reduction, recycling, green spaces, and employee awareness.

Greening the Fleet
Thirteen Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses have been added to the employee transport fleet, replacing diesel models. CNG vehicles reduce CO₂ emissions by 5–10% and emit significantly lower nitrogen oxides (NOx) and smoke, supporting cleaner air and healthier communities.

Sustainability in Action: Hands-On Science for Young Changemakers

STEM Xplorers’ Sustainability in Action session invites students to explore environmental stewardship through engaging, hands-on science activities that spark curiosity and inspire responsible choices. Designed for children aged 7–12, this one-hour program blends inquiry-based learning with real-world sustainability challenges, helping students understand how science can be used to protect and preserve our planet.

Sustainable transportation workshop and project making

The sustainable transportation workshop and project making involves learning about eco-friendly mobility options like cycling, public transit, and electric vehicles, and then developing projects to promote and implement them. Projects focus on areas like improving public transit accessibility, promoting carpooling, advocating for better bike infrastructure, and designing innovative green vehicle solutions. The ultimate goal is to create safe, efficient, and accessible transportation systems that minimize environmental impact and address future needs

Team Building for a Sustainable Future: Empowering People. Strengthening Teams. Sustaining Success

This workshop, which will be delivered to 36 teachers of Juthoor Early Education Center, explores how collaboration, creativity, and shared purpose can empower every team member to contribute effectively to sustainability goals. It focuses on building strong, resilient teams that inspire collective action, foster leadership, and drive meaningful change. Participants will learn practical ways to transform individual passion into teamwork that sustains success for the future.

Theme: Bloom – Let your planting beds speak to the world 
Design a fun, creative, and visually striking poster that delivers a strong message about sustainability and responsibility.

Winning Design: 
The most creative, fun, attractive, and message-driven design will be painted directly onto the planters—with the designer’s name displayed!

Tree Plantation

Following the successful tree planting activity organized by Dentons & Co. at Heenat Salma Farm in collaboration with Verdura in 2022, the Dentons & Co. Sustainability Committee has decided to recreate the experience as part of our 5th anniversary participation in Qatar Sustainability Week (QSW) 2025. This initiative supports Earthna’s mission to promote a sustainable future in the region. In partnership with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, the team at Dentons will be planting native species in a Rawda located in northern Qatar
