We’re going bin-free for a day! As part of our Travel With Purpose Week, we’re excited to introduce the No Bin Day Initiative in all Team Member cafeterias. This effort is designed to encourage everyone to be more mindful of waste, especially food waste.

On this special day, there will be no bins available, prompting us to think critically about our consumption and make conscious choices about the food we take. By reducing waste and ensuring that every bite counts, we can work together to create a more sustainable future!

Together for a Greener Future: Tree Planting Event

Join us in making a lasting impact on our environment! As part of our Travel With Purpose Week, we’re excited to invite all Team Members to our tree planting event, "Together for a Greener Future." This is more than just a day outdoors—it’s a collective step towards a more sustainable world.

Date: Monday, 14th October 2024, from 5:00pm 

Location: Team Member Village - Opposite of Football Area

• الهدف: توعية الأطفال بأهمية إعادة التدوير وحماية البيئة.
• العمر المستهدف: 11 و12 سنة / ابتدائي

الأنشطة:

1. صنع حرف يدوية:

   • تزيين أواني الزهور القديمة.

     • صنع إطارات صور من علب الكرتون والفلين
     • صنع مناظر وفوانيس من الورق الملون والأبيض a4

      

عمل أسبوع توعوي للطالبات عن طريق أختيار  اأفضل صف ملتزم بعدم استخدام مواد بلاستيكيه تستخدم لمره واحده واستخدام المواد القابله لاعادة الإستخدام يتم عملها كحمله توعويه للطالبات ثم اجراء المنافسه بين الصفوف لاختيار افضل صف ملتزم بالمبادره

This innovative system helps significantly reduce the volume of food waste generated by our kitchens and dining outlets. By breaking down organic waste and converting it into nutrient-rich fertilizer, we not only minimize the environmental impact of food disposal but also create a sustainable solution for our hotel’s garden areas.

At Somerset Al Mansoura, we celebrated Sustainability Day with a series of activities focused on environmental awareness and community engagement. We provided each resident with a plant, encouraging them to nurture greenery at home. Our team also crafted two large community boards using old wooden stands and bedsheets, turning them into collaborative canvases for everyone to paint, draw, and share their thoughts on sustainability.
