Powering Motorsport with Clean Energy: Solar Integration at Lusail Circuit

This action highlights the ongoing operation of solar panel systems at the Lusail International Circuit, which consistently supply a portion of our facility’s energy needs. As an established fixture of our venue infrastructure, this renewable energy usage provides a continuous reduction in carbon emissions and forms the baseline for our long-term climate action goals.

The Lusail Circuit Green Perimeter: Cultivating a Living Biodiversity Bridge

In alignment with Qatar’s national afforestation goals, this initiative involves planting native, drought-tolerant flora along the perimeter of the Lusail International Circuit. Positioned directly adjacent to the Al Wusil Reserve, the new green belt acts as a critical ecological corridor. By expanding foraging habitats and mitigating the desert edge effect, this project builds a sustainable biodiversity bridge that supports and protects local wildlife.

Little Green Heroes

As part of the 11th Qatar Sustainability Week, Gheras International School will engage students in a series of interactive and educational activities focused on the school’s eco-themes of waste and litter, wellbeing, and wellness. The activities will be conducted indoors during regular class hours and will involve students from Grades 1A, 1B, 2A, and 2B. The activities are designed to help young learners develop environmental awareness through fun, hands-on experiences.

Summit Academy: Building a Culture of Sustainability in Education

Summit Academy integrates sustainability into its Grades 1–6 curriculum and school culture, empowering young learners to become responsible global citizens. Through hands-on projects, awareness campaigns, and community engagement, our initiative supports Qatar’s vision for sustainable development. We believe that meaningful change begins with education, and our students lead the way by practicing eco-friendly habits, promoting health and wellness, and fostering a spirit of collaboration.

From Waste to Wonder

This week, the children will explore how everyday materials can be reused in meaningful and creative ways. They will collect recyclable and reusable items from home and the community and repurpose them as planters.

As part of the project, children will learn about soil, seeds, seedlings, plants, herbs, and flowers, while developing an understanding of how we can care for and protect our environment. They will have the opportunity to see how materials that might otherwise be thrown away can be given a new purpose.

Carry the Change - Creativity Meets Sustainability.

Carry the Change is an upcycling initiative that transforms retired hotel bed sheets and pillowcases into reusable tote bags, giving unused materials a second life while reducing textile waste. In partnership with a painting supply partner, participants will receive a tote bag and painting kit to create their own unique designs, combining creativity with sustainable action. Through this initiative, we encourage responsible consumption, inspire innovation, and demonstrate how waste materials can be transformed into something meaningful.
