Sustainability in Action

CARSON LOGISTICS

1. Sustainability in Action: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Grow Green

At Carson Logistics, we believe that sustainability begins with small, meaningful actions that create a lasting positive impact. As part of our commitment to environmental responsibility and employee well-being in the lead-up to Qatar Sustainability Week, we have introduced a range of practical sustainability initiatives focused on recycling, reusing materials, reducing waste, and creating greener, healthier working environments.

Alongside this, we have sent carton (72,880 kg) and plastic (6,805 kg) waste, about 79,700 kg in total so far, to certified recycling partners in Qatar, which we estimate has avoided around 80 tonnes of CO₂e.

Our approach goes beyond recycling. We encourage our employees to participate actively in environmental initiatives, promote creative reuse of materials, and take responsibility for the spaces in which they work. By involving our employees and drivers in these projects, we aim to build a culture where sustainability becomes part of our everyday operations.

🚚 Cutting emissions on the road

Since August 2024, we have tracked the emissions of vehicles in our carbon-neutral programme: 445,957 km from a pilot of 5–6 vehicles. We have offset about 63 tonnes of CO₂e with verified carbon credits that support climate projects overseas.

We are also piloting two electric vehicles, which have driven about 47,700 km since November 2025 and are estimated to have cut emissions by roughly 5.75 tonnes compared with petrol vehicles.

Our overall sustainability initiatives have generated a combined quantified impact of approximately 149 tonnes of CO₂e, roughly equivalent to 2,470 urban tree seedlings grown for 10 years.

2. Recycling and Creative Reuse: Awareness & giving Waste a New Purpose

One of our key initiatives focuses on finding practical ways to reuse materials that would otherwise be discarded.

♻️ 19 October 2026: We saw recycling first-hand with a visit to the Al Suwaidi Paper Factory, where used cartons and paper are turned into recycled paper. The factory presented us with a certificate for our recycling work. So far, we have recycled about 72.9 tonnes of paper and carton through them.

To further strengthen our sustainability culture, we organized a recycling awareness initiative in collaboration with Al Suwaidi Paper Factory.

The awareness session was designed to help employees understand the importance of proper recycling practices, responsible waste management, and the role individuals can play in reducing environmental impact.

The initiative encourages employees to adopt sustainable habits at work, improve the segregation of recyclable materials, and recognize the value of reusing resources wherever possible.

By engaging in recycling practices and learning more about the recycling process, employees can better understand how everyday materials can be recovered and given a second life.

This initiative supports our wider objective of making sustainability a shared responsibility across the organization.

3. Recycling Wood to Create Plant Pots and Shaded Seating Areas

We have repurposed recycled wood to create plant pots and to improve our drivers' shaded seating areas. Rather than allowing usable wood to go to waste, we have given it a new purpose by transforming it into functional items that support our green workplace initiative. These improvements bring greenery into our working environment while making our drivers' rest areas more welcoming and pleasant. This initiative demonstrates how discarded materials can be converted into useful resources, reducing waste while improving employee facilities.

4. Recycling Paper and Cartons into A4 Printing Paper

We have also undertaken an initiative to recycle paper and cartons into recycled A4 printing paper for use in our offices and warehouse.

By exploring ways to turn used paper and cardboard into usable printing paper, we aim to support more responsible resource consumption and reduce our dependence on virgin paper. This initiative promotes the circular use of materials by giving paper waste a renewed purpose within our own operations.

5. Plastic Recycling

Plastic recycling is another important part of our sustainability efforts. By collecting and recycling plastic materials, we encourage responsible waste management and help divert recyclable materials away from general waste.

6. Sustainability Art Project: Bringing Children and Employees Together

🎨 09 October 2026: our Carson Logistics Sustainability Art Project brought children and employees together through a creative, hands-on environmental activity.

The event encouraged participants to collect and sort reusable materials, paint and decorate recycled items, and collaborate on a large sustainability-themed artwork. By turning recycled materials into something colorful and meaningful, participants experienced how waste can become a valuable resource when approached creatively.

The initiative gave employees and children an opportunity to learn about recycling in an engaging and practical way. It also encouraged teamwork, creativity, and environmental awareness across generations.

The project reinforced an important message: sustainability is not just about managing waste; it is about changing how we think about the materials we use and the impact our everyday choices have on the environment.

Through activities that combine learning, creativity, and participation, we aim to inspire environmentally conscious habits that extend beyond the workplace and into our homes and communities.

7. Care, Grow, Sustain: Green Workplace and Plant Care Initiative

Under our Care, Grow, Sustain – Green Workplace initiative, Carson Logistics invited employees to bring a plant of their choice to the workplace and take responsibility for its care.

🌱 21 October 2026: Care, Grow, Sustain

We invited all our colleagues to bring in a plant of their choice. The plants now live in a greenhouse at our warehouse, where our team waters and looks after them. Our drivers' rest areas are getting a touch of green too, and this work is ongoing.

Each plant represents an individual's contribution to creating a greener and more welcoming work environment. Employees are encouraged to nurture their plants, learn about their care requirements, and take pride in the greenery they introduce into their surroundings. The initiative also extends to our drivers' seating and rest areas, where plants help create a more pleasant environment for drivers during their breaks.

By encouraging employees to take ownership of their plants and shared spaces, we aim to foster a sense of responsibility, belonging, and care for the workplace. The project highlights the connection between environmental sustainability and employee well-being. It encourages our people to look beyond their individual workstations and contribute to a shared environment that everyone can enjoy.

  1. Employee Engagement and Shared Responsibility

A key strength of our sustainability programme is the active involvement of our people.

Rather than treating sustainability as a standalone environmental activity, we encourage employees to participate directly through recycling projects, creative workshops, plant care, and awareness sessions. These activities give employees opportunities to collaborate across teams, exchange ideas, and contribute to practical improvements within the workplace.

Our initiatives also recognize the important role our drivers play in our operations. By improving their shaded seating areas and introducing greenery into these spaces, we aim to make our commitment to sustainability inclusive of the people who support our daily logistics activities. Through collective participation, we are building a workplace culture in which environmental responsibility, creativity, teamwork, and care for shared spaces go hand in hand.

  1. Our Commitment to Continuous Improvement

At Carson Logistics, we recognize that sustainability is an ongoing journey. Our initiatives represent practical steps towards reducing waste, extending the useful life of materials, encouraging recycling, and improving our workplace environment.

Going forward, we aim to continue strengthening our recycling practices, identifying opportunities to reuse operational materials, promoting employee participation, and encouraging responsible resource consumption across our offices and warehouse.

We also recognize the importance of tracking the outcomes of these initiatives. Where practical, we aim to monitor the quantities of wood, paper, cartons, and plastic reused or recycled, alongside employee participation and improvements to workplace facilities.

Measuring these outcomes will help us better understand our environmental impact and identify further opportunities for improvement.
