Raise Awareness Of The Importance Of Using Recycled Materials.

The Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority will run an awareness campaign on how to reduce paper use in the office under the initiative 'Our Environment'. The amount of paper used will be calculated and a goal will be set to be reduced.

Planning for Future Sustainable initiatives for 2020


- Change to QATAR POST Fleet; 15% of vehicles will operate by CNG & 15% will be hybrid cars.

-The new QATAR POST (H.Q) to be a LEED Silver certified building

-Implementation of a new system that will re-use condensed water produced by air conditioners to irrigate plants.

- Replacement of Central AC systems working on R-22 to gas R410A systems (EER Rating 12.5) that are gold certified (8 stars).

In line with MACE commitment to the community we work in and to the sustainability of the environment, MACE started in various site offices the implementation of recycling and energy and water saving, in details we have done the following:

1- Recycling of plastic and paper in Hamad international airport (HIA) project office.

As part of Qatar Sustainability Week 2019 and to achieve the goal to a greener environment, OCS HSQE will collect unnecessary papers and recyclable materials to each OCS departments and share ideas to staff the importance of recycling.

A meeting with designers & retailers to discuss and share best practices in sustainable fashion. The meeting will include an analysis on the challenges facing designers in Qatar in terms of following sustainable practices, as well as possible solutions, which will later be shared as a document to all participating designers.
