We have already started the campaign named “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (one tree in mother’s name) initiated by CBSE Board.

We plan to carry forward it and grow vegetables in the kitchen garden.

Trash 2 Treasure – Junior Eco Ambassadors Workshop (Ages 6–12)

In celebration of The Pearl Island's and Gewan Island 'Plastic Recycling Initiative 2025', United Development Company is pleased to honor companies and retailers for their support and participation in achieving the goals of this campaign, thanking them for their dedication and distinguished role in preserving the environment.

Details:

• Encourage families to bring clean recyclables daily.
• Integrate sorting as a daily practical life activity for children (Montessori link).
• Display children’s recycled crafts, parent-child collaborative projects, and staff eco-challenges.
• Invite parents and community members to view the exhibition on Nov 10th as part of OPEN DAY event.

BIRLASPHERE (school Eco Club) members grow vegetable and flowering plants in the school kitchen garden 

At the German International School Doha, our kindergarten children and School Garden Club come together to grow more than just plants – they grow curiosity, care, and a love for nature. The children plant seeds and water their vegetable beds every day while observing how their food grows naturally. Through this hands-on experience, they learn about the cycles of nature, take responsibility for the environment, and discover the joy of sustainable living.

Purpose:
To engage employees in meaningful conversations about sustainability and encourage creative expression through impactful slogans that reflect our commitment to environmental responsibility.

Theme: “Small Steps, Big Impact”
Participants will deliver short talks on topics such as:

• Energy conservation in the workplace
• Waste reduction and recycling
• Digital transformation for sustainability
• Eco-friendly habits at work and home

Energy Conservation Initiative

Our facility has adopted and installed sensor-based lighting systems designed to minimize energy consumption. These smart lights automatically adjust based on occupancy, helping to reduce unnecessary energy use. This step not only promotes sustainability but also ensures we actively prevent energy waste, contributing to a greener and more efficient workplace.

Lunch and Learn session to  focused on sustainable practices that can make a real difference in our workplace and beyond. 

This program offers a great opportunity to discover practical tips, innovative ideas, and collaborative discussions between all while enjoying lunch.
