Team Members Beach Clean up

Salwa Beach Resort & Villas aims to make Qatar both clean and safe. By allowing our team members to clean our 3.5km beach of any waste once a month, we strive to cultivate values where recycling and being aware of sustainability are a part of our resort and team members' daily life.

One Native Tree per Team Member

Hilton Salwa Beach Resort has partnered with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment on their “Planting a Million Trees” Initiative. The resort received 500 trees from the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, and our team members have been given the chance to choose where to replant them in our communities.

Water Saving

• With our upgraded water pumping system through PLC, we are increasing the life span of the main 3 pumps and less maintenance. On the other hand, the PLC avoids inline power jerks which controls and limits the in-rush currents (high amps) means more power savings.

• Using villa water taps and showers with aerators that saves water more than 50% in addition to public area sensor water taps that saves water.

• For the sake of the water saving, we are encouraging our guests to take part in reused towels and bed linens program, keeping a tent and doorknob cards in the villas.

Power Saving

  • All villa outdoor lights and public area lights that results in saving man hours, power, and cost.
  • Controlling energy consumption by using digital thermostats in guests' rooms, and installation of double-glazed windows and LED light bulbs across the resort.
  • All villa lights were changed from conventional halogen 100W-200W to LED between 5W-12W, to save more than 50% of electricity.
  • Using daylight rather than artificial light when cleaning vacant dirty rooms.
