Plastic bottle caps are being collected by students and teachers in our school and rather than being put in recycling bins they will be converted into usable sustainable products - plastic bowls, permanent art work, planters etc. Awareness is spread in the school to:

One contributing factor in waste nowadays is the plastic bottle, each day people throw plastic water bottles, which end up in landfills or as a litter in side streets, recreational grounds and streams. Plastic water bottle do not biodegrade, but rather photo degrade. Which means it will take a lot of years before every single bottle to decompose. 

In our little ways, the Gheras International School Eco Green Council is conducting a recycling activity by reusing waste plastic bottles as an alternative trash bin.

-أفكر مرتين قبل أن أطبع

-لاستفادة من ضوء النهار

-استخدام منتجات صديقة للبيئة

-دعم المنتجات والمواد المحلية

-الحصول على شهادات اعتماد للمباني و الممتلكات الخاصة بالمؤسسة

تشارك وزارة العدل بفعاليات النسخة السنوية السادسة من الحملة الوطنية "أسبوع قطر للاستدامة 2021"، الذي سيُعقد في الفترة من 23 إلى 30 أكتوبر 2021، تحت رعاية معالي رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية.

وتشارك الوزارة بفعاليات وأنشطة تعزز مفهوم الاستدامة لدى المؤسسات والأفراد .

Discussing and contextualizing sustainability concepts and terms with examples from local and regional industries.

Carrying out Recycling of E-waste consolidated from all Mosanada Facilities Management Services (MFMS) venues, to raise awareness about E-waste management & recycling.

IT appliances: laptops, PCs. telephones, mobile phones, printer cartridges, small household appliances, etc.

Collection of used AA, AAA batteries, etc. from all MFMS venues & getting them recycled.

Teacher workshop to increase the awareness of Carbon Foot Print Survey  for the middle school students

This activity is scheduled at our institution, our fashion students will be doing recycle of old clothes to create new wearable outfits with help of trainers
