As part of Sustainability Week and as an attempt to increase awareness regarding Sustainability and the Environment, QF Community Development and Qatar Green Building Council have organized an awareness session in the form of a free lunch and learning activities. The students were informed on how to make their campus Eco Friendly, ways of involvement, solutions 101, and many more interactive activities.

As part of Qatar Sustainability Week 2019, QF Student Engagement are taking students on a Kayaking Trip to raise awareness on the Qatari environment and sustainability in general.
We have been doing and will continue to do initiatives in support of Qatar Sustainability Week 2019 and beyond. Some such initiatives include:
Provided expert assistance to the local University, to enable them to conduct a research project on the feasibility of using sea water in Ready-mixed concrete.
In collaboration with Ministry of Municipality and Environment, RMQ participates in Beach Clean Up on a yearly basis, collects large quantity of waste and helps Qatar surroundings clean and environment friendly.
Volunteers from LafargeHolcim Qatar workforce participates in Tree Planting being held in Readymix Qatar batching plants. Program is set and nice lunch afterwards. Volunteers are recognized with certificate of participation.
During this week, Galfar Al Misnad will conduct a campaign on safety, environment awareness sessions for its employees in all project sites.
