Sustainability booth at Lulu stores

Lulu will set up a sustainability booth in their new Abu Sidra  and Messila stores to educate and generate awareness among customers and general public on practices in their daily lives which are good for the environment.

They will encourage the use of environmentally friendly and locally sourced products while offering information on the recycling options Lulu stores offer .

تتبنى الفعالية التوعية والتثقيف حول ممارسة بعض أنشطة الاستدامة في الحياة اليومية، كالزراعة العضوية والحفاظ على البيئة الطبيعية، وتبادل البذور والشتلات مع بداية الموسم، وكيف يكون غذائنا دوائنا وأولية الزراعة بمايفيد صحة الأسرة .. وتعليم الأطفال الزراعة العضوية ومن أين نحصل على غذائنا، وكيف يكون استدامة الموارد في المنزل بإعادة إحياء التراث الشعبي وتطويره بابتكارات حديثة في وسائل الزراعة المنزلية.

Sustainability Week Awareness

Qetaifan Projects is a real estate development company owned by Katara Hospitality and is developing a futuristic tourist hub in Qetaifan Island North. Sustainable development is at the core of the vision and mission of the entire development and how we visualise future real estate. Qetaifan Projects award-winning design has been recognised globally for its sustainable initiative as part of its design at the masterplan and asset levels.

Reduce and Reuse

LuLu stores in Qatar will encourage their customers to reduce the usage of plastic bags in selected stores by offering their customers biodegradable paper bags and free recyclable bags in some stores at certain times which will be announced.

They will also have the option whereby their customers can borrow a recyclable bag from LuLu stores to help cut down plastic waste and lower the carbon footprint, thus avoid pollution due to wastage and land fills.

Tree planting initiative

Carrefour employees in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment Public Gardens Department will take part in a tree planting campaign to support efforts to combat climate change and promote environmental sustainability, which will be held on Oct 27.

Jesmonite Artist

My name is Jacintha and initially started of as a Resin Artist in Qatar about 4 years ago and was determined to find an alternative material that is sustainable and eco friendly. After much research I came across an amazing product called Jesmonite- an eco resin that is eco friendly, sustainable and non toxic. I have been working since with this material. My aim is to market and create awareness about this material so people can enjoy sustainable art .
