Recycling is now available at Les Roses Compounds!
Les Roses Real Estate and OCS Qatar are pleased to announce that we are adding recycling service for residents and launching a new recycling program in our compounds starting from October 2019.
Recycling the paper, cardboard, plastic and metal from our residents household will help reduce the amount waste which is a crucial and simple step to building a greener community.
The idea is to give all the customers at Falcon Fruits & Vegetables (a popular produce shop in West Bay) the possibility to purchase and start using reusable bags for their produce.
Reusable bags will be put up for sale at the store and accompanied by a poster encouraging shoppers to take the opportunity of Qatar Sustainability Week to buy such bags and commit to change.
We know that once we own reusable bags, we are more likely to walk away from plastic bags and to say no to other types of single-use plastic as well.
Engineers Australia Qatar Chapter together with Qatar Green Building Council and IKEA Store are hosting a 'Straw Building Competition' on Saturday 2 November 2019.
It is a pallet recycling activity open to the public where excess pallets are converted into useable furniture such as dining sets, benches, shelves, shoe racks, etc. Tools and equipment are provided by AAB. Experienced and skilled AAB Green Team members will be on the ground to assist the participants. Participants may come with own design for what they intend to build which they can bring home with them after the event.

مسابقة جامعة لمجالات متنوعة بين طلبة المدارس، يتسابق فيها الطلاب والطالبات في كافة المراحل الدراسية من الصف الرابع إلى الصف الثاني عشر، تحت مسمى ( مسابقة تربية للإبداع ) وتشمل عدة مجالات هي:
1- الرسم اليدوي 2- الحديث الشريف ( محدث تربية ) 3 - النشيد الهادف ( منشد تربية ) 4- التصوير الفوتوغرافي 5- الفيديو القيمي 6 - التصميم الجرافيكي
والمسابقة مرتبطة بالقيم المقررة لهذا العام وهما ( المسؤولية - التعاون ) .
