Raise Awareness in Contributing Towards UN SGDs

Raise awareness in media of talabat’s recent global partnership with the UN Global Compact, which highlights our commitment and engagement in implementing UN SDGs in Qatar. talabat currently contributes to over 5 UN SDGs and is committed in 2022/3 to focusing on driving even further the following 4 UN SDGs: UN SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), UN SDG 3 (Good Health & Wellbeing) and UN SDG 4 (Quality Education) and UN SDG 13 (Climate Change). We want to encourage other companies in Qatar to collaborate with us to contribute further to the UN SDGs.

Raise Awareness in Measuring Corporate Carbon Footprint

Raise awareness in media of talabat's efforts towards completing the calculation of their corporate carbon footprint in 2021 and 2022 (in progress) to start measuring and actioning reduction opportunities. talabat wants to encourage all companies in Qatar to join them in this yearly effort in measuring their carbon footprint so we can collectively find key partnerships and opportunities to further reduce the country's carbon footprint.

QSW Day Pass

For Qatar Sustainability Week, we are pleased to be offering a special Culture Pass for a visit to Heenat Salma. From October 8th to the 13th, we‘ve curated an afternoon full of exciting and educational activities for the whole family. 

No Printing Day

We at the Embassy are encouraging this initiative , we would like to be more conscious when we need to print. We always have to remember that wasting paper, ink and toner doesn't make economic or environmental sense. We hope that by limiting the number of printed documents we might start a small movement of change.

Pathways to Sustainability – Social Data Analytics Role in Placemaking

Earthna's team of interns from Georgetown University in Qatar is running a panel with the Amaken establishing chapter for Doha during QSW 2022. These sessions intend to promote cross-sector collaboration between universities, public and private sectors to capture various sector operational challenges, raise awareness, and explore pathways and means of creating sustainable cities. This is most relevant in hot, arid climates, specifically Qatar, by using data as the basis for the decisions being made.

Afternoon tea workshop

Food waste, diabetes are important challenges in Qatar.

We would like to host a afternoon tea workshop, using fresh fruit and flowers, together with all choice of single origin tea to create your own cake + own tea.

To raise the awareness of best use of your left over fruit in fridge to creat a wonderful and delicious afternoon time with loved ones.

تم توفير أكثر من 30 نشاط للمدارس الحكومية داخل دولة قطر يستفيد منها أكثر من 30 ألف طالب، لتفعيل قيمة الاحترام في المدارس.

فيها تعرضنا لاحترام القوانين الصفية واحترام المعلم واحترام العادات والتقاليد والشعوب الأخرى.

وسيتم تعزيز الأنشطة بحملة خاصة عن كأس العالم نعرف فيها الطلاب عن أبرز ملاعب قطر و جوانب الاستدامة فيها وعن كيفية استقبال الزائرين واحترام الممتلاكات العامة أثناء كأس العالم. تتنوع أنشطة الحملة بين ألعاب إلكترونية وبوسترات ومسابقات.
