Tree Planting Campaign -British Council Green Action Week 2025

Tree Plantation Campaign – Staff will plant saplings provided by Ministry of Municipality- Public Parks Dept and Earthna in our office garden, adding more greenery to our space and supporting local biodiversity.

As part of Qatar Sustainability Week 2025, the British Council is delighted to join the Earthna initiative with a week of activities celebrating sustainability and community action. Our goal is to create small but meaningful steps toward a greener future—starting right here in our workplace.

As part of Qatar Sustainability Week 2025, the British Council is delighted to join the Earthna initiative with a week of activities celebrating sustainability and community action. Our goal is to create small but meaningful steps toward a greener future—starting right here in our workplace.

Greening Our Campus – Partnership with the Ministry of Municipality for Native Tree Planting

In celebration of Sustainability Week, Naufar is collaborating with the Ministry of Municipality – Public Parks Department to enhance local biodiversity and promote long-term environmental stewardship through a large-scale planting initiative. Together, the teams will plant 500 native trees, seasonal flowers, and shrubs across designated areas of the campus, reinforcing the shared commitment to a greener, more sustainable Qatar.

Creative Reuse – Sustainable Art from Therapy Sessions

This initiative showcases the powerful intersection of creativity, recovery, and environmental responsibility through artworks created by patients during art therapy sessions using repurposed materials. It demonstrates how sustainability and healing can coexist beautifully — transforming discarded items into meaningful expressions of personal growth and ecological awareness.

Hands-On Sustainability Education – Green Workshops for Staff and Patients

This initiative brings sustainability to life through interactive learning sessions led by a horticultural specialist, combining environmental education with creativity, teamwork, and practical experience. The program is designed to empower both staff and patients to understand, practice, and promote sustainable living through tangible, hands-on activities.

The workshops are divided into two main components:

1. Patient-Focused Green Activities
Patients will take part in two engaging sustainability exercises:

 تفاصيل مشروع زراعة الأحواض ضمن برنامج المدارس البيئية

مقدمة المشروع:
يهدف هذا المشروع المشترك بين المدرسة والمدينة التعليمية إلى تعزيز الوعي البيئي لدى الطالبات والمعلمات، من خلال توفير أحواض زراعة جاهزة للعناية بها. يساهم المشروع في خلق بيئة مدرسية أكثر خضرة وجمالًا، ويوفر فرصة للتطبيق العملي للمفاهيم العلمية المرتبطة بالزراعة والنباتات.

أهداف المشروع:

IBPC Qatar Sustainability Forum Mangrove Restoration Engagement

Description of the Mangrove Restoration Project and Community Engagement: Earthna's Mangrove Restoration Project, is centered around an ultimate goal: to restore existing mangrove forest, afforest new intertidal habitats with mangroves, and reforest dead forest patches in an area that amounts to 40 hectares. In addition to the scientific/ research stream of the Project, Earthna has a socio-economic stream. As part of this, they have started engaging with Communitues like the IBPC Qatar Sustainability Forum in activities of the Project.
