This international day highlights the importance and impact for those needing prostheses and orthoses and the need to provide further resources to ensure equitable and appropriate access to prosthetics and orthotics services.

HMC will hold an Awareness Event to highlight the importance of prosthetics and orthotics services to help people to live healthy, productive, independent, and dignified lives and to learn, work and generally to take part in society and thus, participate in the development of their countries.

In our ongoing efforts to boost environmental consciousness in Qatar, DEAP Qatar is organizing a cleanup initiative in the picturesque Zekreet area. Our aim is to ignite a sense of responsibility among the youth and the community, urging them to combat plastic pollution actively. Please note that this is a private event and not open to the public.

To mark World Diabetes Day 2023, Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA), hosts the Diabetes Walkathon, on Friday, 10 November 2023 from 1 to 5 PM at Oxygen Park, Education City.

The Walk starts at 4 pm and will span approximately 1 kilometer. Including the walk, the venue will also offer a host of complimentary fun-filled activities, including special fitness activities, children's entertainment Fun Run, and lively music. Health awareness booths will also be set up at the venue to raise awareness about diabetes which has become an acute problem regionally and globally.

The Sustainability Committee at Boecker is organizing a beach cleanup activity to raise awareness among the employees about the impact of plastic pollution on the environment and marine life. The purpose of this awareness event is to spread the message not only among the employees but also among their friends, family and colleagues to have a better environment.

In the past Qatar Sustainability Week, Gheras International School has been mitigating environmental issues and promoting environmental awareness in small ways. Throughout the year, GIS has become proactive in different areas of sustainable development goals.

On Nov 8, there will be workshops conducted by teachers on various topics, age appropriate for their classes. This will also be a service as action opportunity for the students.
