Awareness Activities

We will be organizing a special week where we focus on sustainable development. For the purpose the Engineering department has started energy saving program. Below are the accomplishments & highlights of CCRD energy saving program.

In our participation towards environmental responsibility and sustainability in line with Qatar Sustainability Week, The Curve Hotel Management and Staff will have its ‘’Awareness Activities’’.

GREEN DAY AWARENESS

- On 27^th October, Hotel’s Environmental Committee, Management and Staff will have Guest involvement activities

ENERGY SAVINGS    
On 29^th October, we will be turning off lights in our Swimming Pool Area, Guest Lobby Area, Facade & External Lights and will be using candle lighting in designated areas for a duration of 1 hour from 6:00pm to 7:00pm

November is the diabetes awareness month. In this workshop, our EHS officer, Eishah, is aiming to raise awareness about diabetes by explaining what the disease is, its symptoms, and how it is treated and controlled. In Siemens, we care about our employees' health and wellness and we aim to have a very healthy and safe working environment.

Walk the Stairs, our employees will not be using the elevator in this whole week as a support for the sport & sustainability.

In line with the Qatar Sustainability Week, Evergreen Organics will be having a beach clean up activity this coming November 2.

We're promoting awareness on everyone to stop throwing trash especially in beaches as these trash can be mistaken as a food source by marine animals once it gets to the ocean.

Lights Off, the lights to be off in the whole building during the week (except the necessary lights for CCTV).

Glasses for Water, no bottles to be used during this week and we will use glasses instead and later after November 3^rd will collect all plastic bottles and send them for recycling and for the water left we will be watering the plants in the building.

No Coffee No Tea.  We will not serve coffee or tea during this week, the employees will be bringing their own hot drink with them from home in mugs, just for Qatar Sustainability Week period.

No Unnecessary Electricity, all unnecessary electricity to be off during this week such as printers and TV’s etc.
