Energy transition and Climate Change

This program aims to explore the nexus between energy systems and climate change mitigation and adaptation by fostering local collaboration and knowledge exchange. Through research into renewable energy solutions, energy efficiency measures, and low-carbon solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the program’s activities explore transition strategies suitable for hot, arid and energy-rich regions.

Earthna advocates for the creation of relevant cross-societal policies and action to support climate change adaption and mitigation in hot and arid countries, which prioritize resilience, circularity, and societal wellbeing. To inform this work, we conduct research to assess the long-term environmental and socio-economic impacts of energy transition policies and develop recommendations for energy transition.
