Qatar Musuems (QM) is offering an exciting opportunity for students in grades 5 to 8 to express their artistic talents while raising awareness about environmental issues and sustainability. In collaboration with the National Museum of Qatar (NMOQ) team, QM will be organizing a "Sustainability Art Contest" where students can create artwork that highlights these sustainability-oriented themes. This initiative not only nurtures young artistic talent but also encourages a deeper understanding and appreciation of environmental and sustainability issues among the youth.

As part of Qatar Sustainability Week 2023, UDC is introducing a new policy for restaurants in The Pearl Island. We are taking a step towards sustainability by prohibiting the use of plastic and single-use plastics in these establishments. This initiative underscores our commitment to environmental responsibility and aims to create a more eco-friendly dining experience in The Pearl Island.

At UDC, safeguarding marine species at Pearl Island is paramount. Our dedication to preventing sea pollution drives us to expand our 'Seabin' initiative, introducing 10 more Collec'Thor Sea Cleaners. Excitingly, the upcoming launch of this project's new phase is scheduled during Qatar Sustainability Week 2023. Stay tuned for the positive impact this endeavor will have on our oceans and environment. 

ترعى وزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية الممثلة بإدارة الأوقاف مجموعة من المشاريع المستدامة بهدف الحفاظ على البيئة والترشيد مثل:

1. برنامج لكل ربيع زهرة: وهو من برامج الاستدامة الوطنية، حيث يهدف إلى زيادة وعي المجتمع بأهمية الغطاء النباتي، ودوره في الحفاظ على البيئة من التدهور والتصحر، ومراعاة الشروط الواجبة لحماية الكوكب من آثار التغير المناخي، وترشيد الماء والطاقة واستهلاك الموارد الطبيعية، واستدامة الاستفادة منها، إضافة إلى تنمية قدرات الابتكار والإبداع في مجالات التنمية البيئية، والمحافظة على التنوع الحيوي وتطبيق نظرة متوازنة للبيئة الطبيعية.

تتحقق مبادئ الاستدامة في جميع أركان الوقف وتتجلى هذه الاستدامة في فتجب المحافظة على ديمومة المال الموقوف، وتمنع التصرفات التي تؤدي إلى استنزافه وانقطاع ريعه، كما يتعين أن يكون الموقوف عليه جهة بر غير منقطعة، بمعنى أن تكون دائمة وحاضرة عبر الزمان، ويتعين أن يكون الواقف جائز التصرف في المال الموقوف لضمان ديمومة الوقف واستدامته وقطع سبل نقضه لعدم جواز تصرفات الواقف، أما صيغة الوقف فيُشترط فيها أن تكون دالـة على التأبيد، ويكون الوقف عقد لازم لا يجوز الرجوع عنه، مما يؤكد على ديمومته.
