Panel Discussion on Climate Change and the Arab World

The Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) Sustainability Council is arranging a panel discussion about climate change and the Arab world. Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. These shifts may be natural, but since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to burning fossil fuels (like coal, oil, and gas), which produce heat-trapping gases. Being the center of oil and gas production, the Middle East makes a lot of greenhouse gases.

Zero Emission Option

In partnership with a mobile scooter and e-bicycle company, The Avenue, A Murwab Hotel offers guests and employees the option to rent e-bikes and scooters as an alternative mode of transportation. Guests of the hotel will have access to manual vehicles on the premises. By promoting e-bicycle and scooter use rather than driving, pollution-emitting cars will be reduced. Additionally, biking and use of scooters will promote physical activity while traveling.
