The College of Business and Economics at Qatar University will collaborate with Ms. Reena Naser CEO from SUSTAINIAL LLC to hold a workshop for 50 students, in support of establishing the concept of environmental sustainability,    supervised  of Associate Professor of Accounting, Mr. Hani Kamal .

Our kindergarteners will engage in a comprehensive week of learning activities to raise awareness and promote sustainability. This initiative aligns with our participation in Qatar Sustainability Week 2024, where students will explore eco-friendly practices, participate in interactive projects, and deepen their understanding of the environment. Through these engaging activities, we aim to instill lifelong values of environmental stewardship in our students, empowering them to impact our planet positively.

The Engineering Technology Department at the Community College of Qatar is celebrating Qatar Sustainability Week by hosting an awareness activity on Sunday, 29 September 2024. 

The event will feature a seminar titled “The Pathway to Achieving 18% Renewable Energy Integration in Qatar by 2030”, covering key initiatives such as solar energy projects, policy and infrastructure development, and economic incentives. 

The topic will focused on the following:

• Facts about the plastic pollution and the climate crisis.
• The companies, employees, students, and individuals responsibilities to help make a difference.

By utilising LIMS's capabilities, ACTS implements the shift from paper to digital calibration certificate issuance. The LIMS was modified by the QHSE department and IT in order to produce and provide electronic certificates to stakeholders directly. In order to create and manage digital certificates and to interface the system with email or document management systems for effective distribution, ACTS started training its staff on how to use it.

Promote the reduction and eventual elimination of single-use plastics and encourage the use of sustainable alternatives.

Raise awareness about energy conservation, promote the use of energy-efficient appliances, and encourage employees to adopt power-saving habits to reduce electricity consumption and environmental impact.
