Visit to Papercut Factory - STEM for Sustainability

Students will visit the Papercut Factory to explore sustainable paper production, where they will observe the recycling process in action and gain insight into how wastepaper is transformed into new, eco-friendly products. Through hands-on participation, students will engage in each stage of production, learning about the importance of resource conservation, creativity in reuse, and the role of innovation in promoting environmental sustainability.

No Printing Day

As part of our environmental sustainability efforts, talabat Qatar employees across the office will participate in a “No Printing Day,” promoting a fully paperless work environment. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about reducing paper consumption and encourage the adoption of digital tools for more sustainable office practices.

 

Clothing Donation Drive

talabat Qatar employees will come together to participate in a clothing donation drive at the office, contributing gently used items to support local communities in need.This initiative reflects the team’s strong sense of social responsibility and commitment to giving back to the community. At the end of Qatar Sustainability Week, the clothes will be delivered to one of talabat's charity partners, Qatar Charity's collection points. 

Coding Sea Turtles

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, through the Studio 5 initiative and in collaboration with the National Museum of Qatar, is organizing the "Coding Sea Turtle" workshop for children aged 7 to 10. During the workshop, students will gain skills in coding, robotics, and sustainability.

Encouraging Refillable Bottles

At the talabat office, all employees have been given out biodegradable, refillable bottles, and will be encouraged to use them throughout the entire week — reinforcing our dedication to reducing single-use plastic waste and promoting environmentally conscious habits in the workplace.This initiative reflects our collective responsibility towards a greener future and demonstrates how small, consistent actions can create meaningful environmental impact.

Plastic Reduction and Segregation Awareness

Our company is participating in Qatar Sustainability Week by reducing and eliminating single-use plastic consumption throughout the week while promoting sustainable alternatives to plastic materials. Additionally, we are conducting a Waste Segregation Awareness session to provide comprehensive guidance on proper waste separation techniques and appropriate disposal methods for recyclable materials.

تعقد وزارة الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات، من خلال مبادرة "ستوديو 5" وبالتعاون مع متحف قطر الوطني، ورشة عمل بعنوان "برمجة السلاحف"، تتيح للطلاب من عمر 7 إلى 10 سنوات فرصة اكتساب مهارات في مجالات البرمجة، والروبوتات، والاستدامة.

Team Planting Activity

Talabat employees from across departments will participate in a tree planting activity at the talabat-owned nursery space in Education City, reflecting the team's ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. This initiative not only contributes to a greener environment but also fosters teamwork and a shared sense of purpose among employees.Through this activity, the talabat Qatar team demonstrated their dedication to making a positive impact beyond the workplace.

Ali Bin Ali Holding ISO Certification Achievement – Advancing Health, Safety & Environmental Sustainability

Ali Bin Ali Holding, in partnership with TÜV NORD, successfully hosted the ISO Certification Achievement Ceremony on May 1, 2025, at the Four Seasons Hotel Doha. This event marked the culmination of a two-year sustainability journey across all divisions of the Group, celebrating the successful implementation and certification of ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards.
