Naufar will design and run an online Sustainability Campaign on its computers as screen savers and on public area displays throughout November. The campaign will educate on aspects, such as reduction of power and water usage.
Naufar is proud to have a very active and successful art therapy program for its patients. During part of the program, the patients are arranging statues and other installations, using broken or phased out materials, furniture and equipment. During the sustainability week these installations are displayed within Naufar. Throughout the year the installations are even exhibited outside of Naufar (i.e. WISH events or during the Mental Health Week).
QAM has worked hard over the past year to create a plastic free school community. However, sometimes we need to be reminded. During Sustainability Week, our grade 4 and 5 will work to raise awareness about the current state of plastic bottle use in our school. It will be a week to remind our community of our commitment to be plastic bottle free.
Naufar has developed a sustainability passport, that will be distributed to employees during sustainability week. Employees are encouraged to carry out sustainable acts and collect "fingerprint stamps" for each them. The acts for 2023 include: Battery recycling, clothing donations, planting seeds, a "no-printing day", electronic waste collection and plastic bottle recycling.
Naufar is procuring and distributing sustainable gifts to staff and VIP visitors. This can include items such as diaries made from recyclable materials, to coffee mugs, that even act as a phone charger to eliminate paper cups. With this initiative Naufar even transfers its commitment to sustainability outside the organisation.
Naufar is collecting coffee grounds across all its buildings and then distributing it as part of the fertilization process across all landscape areas.
