Sustainability Week Celebration: A Collaborative Family Initiative

Following the discussions during the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), countries around the world are exploring ways to cut carbon emissions and scale-up financing for emissions reductions. 

Alshaya Group Qatar, in collaboration with DeapQatar, is organizing a Beach Clean-Up Drive on 27th September 2024 in line with World Clean-Up Day activities. The event will be attended by over 100 employees from across the country who have volunteered to join and actively participate to make our planet a better place to live. Friends and families of employees will also join, providing an atmosphere for children to learn and understand the importance of preserving our natural environments.

Giving the awareness the team during a class session regarding sustainability and how they will change their life style by following sustainability.

Giving awareness to the team for the benefit of reducing the uses of plastic on health and environment and will provide them water thermos.

Giving awareness to team members regarding health and safety videos playing on the monitor.

At Doha College this year we will be running a series of events to celebrate Qatar Sustainability Week 2024. 

As a whole college we will be having a 'Say no to single use plastic week.' 

In the Secondary school we will be hosting a house recycling challenge where plastic recycling boxes will be weighed at the end of the week and the house with the largest weight will be successful. 

In the Primary school there will be a school poster competition to create a poster that spreads the message of 'no single use plastic' in Doha College and Qatar. 

Students at QAD will be working on their classroom Eco Codes and sharing them with the greater QAD Community. 

Activists in Action will be documenting their Green Flag journey to share with and inspire students throughout the school, as they prepare to present to a panel and seek to earn the school's second Eco Schools Green Flag.

نضيف في هذا الحاويات كمية من البكتيريا التي تساعد على تحلل بقايا الطعام وتحويله الى سماد على شكل سائل…

نقوم بتجميع السائل العضوي وتخفيفه بالماء ثم نسقي به الزرع الموجود في المدرسة..

Green Committee from Centara West Bay conduct the training for West Bay Beach's guests to educate and encourage guests on waste management practices. Encourage guests to minimize waste. Provide clear instructions and support for waste sorting.
