Dentons has the ambition that our operations leave no mark on the environment in which we live and operate. We conduct our operations to comply with all existing environmental legislation and to minimise the risk of all forms of pollution. Environmental management is a priority for the Firm and we take it into account when running our business. This year Dentons & Co in Qatar are taking part in QF E-waste recycling drive initiative to dispose of out IT equipment as we are confident that it will be disposed in very responsible manner. 

Our company has a Kahramaa Substation project site in a desert environment near Al Zubarah Archaeological Site in Al Shamal Muncipality.

As part of this Qatar Sustainability Week campaign, we have made the decision to clear out as much plastic trash as we can from the regions surrounding our workplace within a week. For this a team has been formed under our HSE department.

When winter arrives, all of the farm animals in this area are freed to graze in the desert. We're taking this step to keep animals from eating plastic and to preserve the environment from plastic trash.

Cutting emissions from the built environment is urgently needed if we are to meet our climate goals. In the race to hit carbon reduction targets, existing buildings are the key.

For Qatar Sustainability Week 2022, Cundall will gather regional industry leaders for a panel discussion that will focus on the retrofit process and how we are going to achieve it, as well as the strategies that asset owners can adopt. Panellists will discuss how we can all play our part in increasing the value of existing assets to avoid the stranded scenario.

I have developed a policy for our office where the documents printed on paper for this year 2022 stood at 80% lesser when compared to the documents printed on paper last year 2021.

The ECO WARRIORS have surveyed and registered the classrooms where such placards will be pasted on the inside of classroom doors for spreading awareness regarding “Keep school clean”.

The Hummingbirds are a group of students who represent Qatar in the international Global Social Leaders Competition. During this week, they will be working on their biodiversity garden and preparing educational materials for the community about the medical benefits of Quranic plants. We are working in partnership with Quranic gardens and Qatar Museums.
