Burn Calories Instead of Electricity

Objectives:Promotes fitness and conserves electricity.

Taking the stairs is good for your health and good for the environment and climbing just two minutes per day will burn one pound of calories per year equal the same amount of weight that most adults gain each year. You will burn calories for yourself at the same time you help the environment by saving electricity.

Upcycling and creative reuse

Upcycling also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products,

waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality and environmental value.

Concept: Creative reuse of pallet woods. Making handmade coasters and painting them for home and office daily use.

QF Charity Female Football Tournament

To promote physical health, sports and fitness while encouraging sustainability through gym clothes and shoes donations, Student Engagement are hosting a charity female football tournament. Qatar Charity will provide boxes where people can donate their clothes that are in good shape to the needy as well as promote sustainability through this process. The tournament will be open to all EC students and alumni as well as the general public to create a sense of community within EC.

In support of the Sustainability week, Join the Architects' Hub Qatar walking tour at Souq Waqif, one of the best heritage and pedestrian Public places in Qatar. Enjoy Architecture commentary and encourage walkability as a life style.

We love Souq Waqif! Its hidden gems and nooks. We will be walking through selected spots and finishing at the Jomrok Boutique hotel where one of our members will be sharing architectural insights about this unique hotel.
