The Qatar Financial Center (QFC) Regulatory Authority will provide a presentation at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar on the theme of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG). The presentation aims to address several relevant topics including sustainable taxonomy, climate related risks, financial stability risks in sustainable finance as well as ESG investing.
The presentation is organized in collaboration with the CMU-Q EcoCampus program.
On 8 October 2022, the ASEAN Committee in Doha (ACD) and the Doha Environmental Actions Project (DEAP Qatar) co-organized a clean-up initiative at the Singing Sand Dunes, located 40 km southwest of Doha. The initiative was attended by the ACD Ambassadors, namely from the Embassy of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam, and the Charge d’ Affaires of the Philippines, as well as ASEAN diplomats, their family members and the ASEAN community.
Since Our Embassy opens its door here in Qatar, we are working on minimizing the usage of any products that have a negative impact on the environment we are trying to preserve the environment and ration energy consumption by utilizing several initiatives such as replacing the one single water bottle with the reusable water bottle for the staff the paper and plastic cups with glasses and mugs.
The Doha metro will serve as the primary mode of transit for a scavenger hunt that Qatar Rail and Bedaya are organizing. The scavenger hunt will feature a variety of locations in Qatar that are accessible from all three metro lines. Every destination will have a role to play in promoting and offering sustainable products and healthy lifestyles. Participants will also be expected to respond to sustainability-related questions during the week, including inquiries into Qatar Rail's sustainability initiatives over the years.
