Carillion Qatar tries to support local schools and special needs schools by utilising our skills in carpentry, painting, maintenance etc

All of our normal sessions will be built around sustainability week. At the beginning of each session our staff will educate participants on the benefits of exercise and living a healthy lifestyle through fun games, drills and activities. Photos and videos will be taken and uploaded to our social media channels using the hashtags provided. We will be interacting with approx 5,000 members throughout the week and reaching 20,000 or more on social media.

The Clean Marine Project was developed out of the need to keep our Stand UP Paddle and Kayak school based on the Pearl-Qatar clean of floating debris in the water, what followed was a sea bin development which is now onto the 3rd prototype that has been running at gate 22/23 of Porto Arabia for the last 6 months. The results of this Clean Marine Sea Bin have had a huge impact on the quality of the water, this system has been running for the last 6 months with no down time. Currently Blue Pearl is offering sponsorship opportunities to move this project forward to the second phase.

Richer Environments and the Qatar Natural History Group, are joining forces to organize and lead an Eco-tour to the Barchan Sand Dunes of Al Kharrara. During the eco-tour, we will explore this unique and majestic desert ecosystem. Dr. Chatziefthimiou and Ms. Abdul Majid, will share their knowledge on the formation of Sand Dunes, the myriad of species that inhabit them, and the efforts they are leading to conserve the Sand Dune ecosystem.

One of the key initiatives the mall introduced in 2016 is “#Green Dream 2022”. Launched in conjunction with “Qatar National Vision 2030”, the initiative was created to position Ezdan Mall as an environmentally friendly thought-leader within the community, raising the mall’s profile and popularity with both local residents and people across Qatar.

Sustainability is critical to the vision of Qatar International Golf Club and together with GEO (Golf Environmental Organization) sustainability features center around enhancing nature, conserving resources and supporting local communities.

QF was awarded ‘Best Renewable Energy Initiative’ for its use of solar panels, and ‘Best Sustainable Development’ for its environmentally friendly student housing. We wish to extend that by adding value to the initiative by ‘showcasing’ the various facilities that are maintained and operated by O&M with our commitment to ‘sustainability’ and take our initiatives beyond QF. A one day fun, competitive and educational event- hosted by Fame Basketball & Fitness Academy that shall involve basketball and fitness games and competitions - as well as free trails for interested new players. We shall also award the best 6 players with the most nutritious week that managed to fill out Fame's Nutrition booklet!
