A Morning with Plants

We are organizing a morning tour of Fuwairit to explore its diverse plant life. With approximately 350 native species, Fuwairit stands out as a species-rich site, supporting a unique blend of intertidal mangroves, inland sabkha, rocky jebels, and sandy coastal areas within just 6 km2. Amidst this botanical wonder, we'll delve into sustainability, appreciating the delicate balance of ecosystems that host at least 82 native plant species in 28 families.

Sunrise Rawdat Nature Walk

We are organizing a walk in the rawdat, small depressions in the desert, where sediments and water tend to accumulate. Vegetation develops in these areas and supports a rich biodiversity: many birds (doves, shrikes, francolins…), reptiles, insects, desert hares, and hedgehogs. After the recent rains, we'll be witnessing some of the changes water can bring to the desert.
