Children learn best when doing and art offers them great opportunity to create something with their own hands. For this reason we will be practicing Decoupage art to introduce larger themes such as sustainability in a more approachable manner. We will be using old cans, jars , scraps of colourful papers and acrylic paints to create a unique beautiful decorative art. Craft idea for decoupage is not only great for gifting, but this upcycling project is also easy enough for little helping hands to join in!

For Qatar Sustainability Week, we are pleased to be offering a special Culture Pass for a visit to Heenat Salma. From October 8th to the 13th, we‘ve curated an afternoon full of exciting and educational activities for the whole family. 

Heenat Salma is an Eco-Farm and Camp, located in Shahaniya, north-west of Doha. 

We are a multidisciplinary project dedicated to holistic methods in agriculture, architecture, and community development.

During the Qatar Green Week we are having: Exhibition, Tours, workshops and tree plantation activities.

Bring your friends and join our fun event for teams for the closing of QSW 2022.

Complete challenging tasks of gardening in teams of 4-5 people, like gardening with closed eyes under the direction of the other team members, filling pots in a relay challenge and much more.

This is an event for mixed teams of adults and kids, families or people aged above 15 years old.

Location: Education City MicroFarm

Use upcycled fabrics to create fun and functional crafts like keychains, bookmarks etc. Workshop designed for kids aged 6-10.
