From Waste to Wonder

This week, the children will explore how everyday materials can be reused in meaningful and creative ways. They will collect recyclable and reusable items from home and the community and repurpose them as planters.

As part of the project, children will learn about soil, seeds, seedlings, plants, herbs, and flowers, while developing an understanding of how we can care for and protect our environment. They will have the opportunity to see how materials that might otherwise be thrown away can be given a new purpose.

Plant a tree, get Oxygen for free

The Eco Club (BIRLASPHERE) members brought potted plants on the eve of summer vacation, and showcased them in the school KITCHEN GARDEN area. They took the pots home, promising to nurture and care during the holidays. They shall bring the plants back when weather becomes favorable for outdoor plantation - during November 2026.
The plants shall be kept in the school KITCHEN GARDEN till February 2027.

Sustainability Showcase Day – Celebration of Learning

The week will conclude with a “Sustainability Showcase Day”, where children will proudly present their learning to parents and visitors. Displays will include:

Recycled art projects

Plant-growing activities

Environmental posters

Classroom sustainability work

This event will celebrate student voice, creativity, and environmental responsibility while encouraging community engagement.

Home–School Partnership – Green at Home Challenge

Families will be actively involved through the “Green at Home Challenge.” Parents and children will complete simple sustainability tasks at home, such as:

Creating recycling stations

Reducing single-use plastic

Practicing water and electricity conservation

Spending screen-free time in nature

Parents will document participation through photos or videos shared on ClassDojo, strengthening the link between school learning and home practices.

Awareness & Learning Activities – Save Our Planet Corner

Each classroom will set up a “Save Our Planet Awareness Corner” featuring visual displays, books, and interactive resources. Throughout the week, children will engage in storytelling sessions, short educational videos, group discussions, and hands-on learning tasks focused on recycling, water conservation, energy saving, and protecting animals and nature.

Students will create posters with key environmental messages such as:

“Save Water”

“Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”

“Love Our Earth”

Nutrition & Wellness – Healthy Planet, Healthy Me

Children will explore the connection between personal health and environmental care through the “Healthy Planet, Healthy Me” activity. They will discuss and identify healthy food choices such as fruits and vegetables, create simple eco-friendly lunchbox ideas, and learn how reducing food waste contributes to a healthier planet. Teachers will also encourage mindful eating habits during snack time.

Whole School Approach – “Little Eco-Champions Campaign”

Qatar Sustainability Week 2026 – School Implementation Plan

Our school will actively participate in Qatar Sustainability Week (QSW) 2026, a national campaign led by the Earthna Center for a Sustainable Future in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
