No Plastic Day

The Embassy will have no plastic days on the 9th and 10th of October. There will be no plastic items at the office including bottles, cups and shopping bags. We will use our fabrics/ environment friendly shopping bags on the 9th and 10th of October.

Adding a splash of green!

As a nursery, we have planted some plants last academic year but this year, we want to further incorporate it into our curriculum to make planting and caring for them a daily routine.

The children will start off with seeding mid of September and be able to see the growth. We can't wait to add a splash of natural green to our space for the children ranging from 1-4 years of age.

We want to implement having a compost bin to the nursery so we can use organic food scraps for it and in turn, generate compost for our plants.

Seed Swap

As we enter the Qatar growing season, we would like to invite our gardeners and volunteers down to exchange seeds and knowledge. The event will be hosted in the Academic Greenhouse and will give everyone the opportunity to meet new and old members.

Bring your seeds & bulbs and get ready to exchange them for something maybe you have never grown before…whether its locally grown or from far and wide.

Nature Scavenger Hunt

Join us for a FREE educational and fun filled afternoon! We will explore the  Education City MicroFarm, hunting for all manner of mini-beasts native to Qatar. 

Nature scavenger hunts can really make the outdoors come alive for children. Hunting for signs of nature will help develop your child’s nature observation skills and deepen their connection to and comfort level with the outdoors and mini-beasts.
