Shireen worked with Qatar Foundation’s Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC) for nine years, helping to establish it as a prominent regional thought leader in the field of sustainability in the region.
She orchestrated QGBC’s events program and helped raise its profile through partnerships in Qatar and across the region, as well as supporting the development of outreach initiatives dedicated to building a culture of sustainability in Qatar and cultivating environmentally and socially responsible communities.
Before joining QGBC, Shireen led a team of event coordinators who organized events for a national education program across the UK. She holds a Master’s Degree in Gender in Development from the University of East Anglia in the UK, is an accredited PRINCE2 project management practitioner, and has an ILM3 award for Team Leaders and Line Managers from the UK’s Institute of Leadership and Line Management.
