Qatar Sustainability Week 2025

Kindergarten Activities

Our kindergarteners will engage in a week of exciting learning activities to raise awareness and promote sustainability. This initiative aligns with Qatar Sustainability Week 2025, where students will explore eco-friendly practices, take part in interactive projects, and deepen their understanding of caring for the environment. Through these hands-on experiences, we aim to instill lifelong values of environmental stewardship, empowering children to make a positive impact on our planet.

Student Activities

  1. Eco-Friendly Art Creations
Children will design creative artwork using recycled materials such as egg cartons, bottle caps, and cardboard. They will make collages, 3D models, and classroom decorations—turning waste into wonder.
  2. Planting a Classroom Herb Garden
Students will plant herbs and small vegetables in recycled containers. They will water and care for them daily, learning about how plants grow and why greenery is important for a healthy planet.
  3. Solar Energy Exploration
Through simple demonstrations with solar-powered toys or lamps, children will see how the sun provides energy. This activity will introduce them to the concept of renewable energy in a fun, age-appropriate way.
  4. Waste Sorting Challenge
Students will practice sorting classroom waste into recyclables, compostables, and trash. A class chart will track their daily progress, encouraging responsibility for keeping the environment clean.
  5. Save Every Drop – Water Awareness
Through a water-pouring activity and simple science experiments, students will learn how wasting water affects the environment. Together, they will create a colorful “Water Wise” poster for the classroom.
  6. Energy Savers Patrol
Children will take turns being part of the “Energy Savers Patrol,” making sure fans, AC, and lights are switched off when not needed.
  7. Eco Tour – Qatar Marine Life Awareness
Students will participate in an educational eco tour focused on Qatar’s marine life. They will learn about local sea creatures, coral reefs, and the importance of preserving marine ecosystems. The tour will include hands-on activities and guided observation to inspire environmental responsibility.
