Towards vibrant, sustainable and inclusive streets and public space in qatar

This seminar and included workshop will initiate a dicussion related to new urban design approaches to transform streets and open spaces in Qatari cities into sustainable, vibrant and inclusive positive elements of Qatar sustainable urbanity. 

By engaging architects, urban designers and city planners with related community members and stakeholders, the event aims to create a new understanding to how Qatari cities can invest in sustainable public realm and design places for people. The event supports the Qatar national master plan and the sustainable development goals. It echos the need for a transit oriented development where the culture of public transportation and walkability is emphasized. 

The event will include a seminar, a round table discussion and focused design workshop to initiate new conceptual approaches to transforming streets and public spaces into sustainable territories full of life and contribute in the livability of Qatari cities in a sustainable manner.
