Sustainability inside the classes

During Qatar sustainability week,

1. Eco club members from grades 9 and 10 prepared activities related to sustainability and delivered them to the students in grade 6 to 8.

The activities were:

• Upcycling: using cardboard and shredded papers, students design various shapes to be used for decoration
• Appreciation cards: using carboards and shredded papers, students designed cards to be distributed to teachers as part of teachers' day.
• Planting: Students had the chance to plant vegetable seeds in the school's planters
• Healthy cooking: Students prepared healthy recipes.

Grade 9 and 10 prepared as well presentations about the importance of upcycling, recycling, planting, and healthy eating habits which they presented to the lower grades,

2. Morning announcements: every day for 5 days, 2 of grade 9 students shared an announcement about the importance of using refillable bottles for water, planting, recycling, upcycling, and the need to reduce waste.
