Solar Energy and Sustainability

We will be conducting a hands on workshop for year 7 students where students will learn about solar energy, how it works, solar applications and sustainability. In Qatar, the peak electricity usage is in the middle of the day, right when solar is producing the most energy. At the end of this, students will have a fundamental understanding about solar energy and how, and why, it is sustainable. They will be discussing how solar applications in Qatar might reduce electricity use from conventional power sources, protect the environment and our conserve our natural resources.
