We will have a number of activities and initiatives throughout the week. These include: school trash pick-up, waste free lunches, garden planting, creating recycling bins, and lights out days. Student council members will work with Refill2Save to run a campaign encouraging students to bring in plastic bottles to refill with cleaning supplies. Our older students will begin letter writing campaigns to try and persuade school leaders to make the school plastic free and purchase a composting system to create fertilizer for our school gardens. These initiatives will continue throughout the year.
