Qetaifan Projects – Sustainability Initiatives 2025
As part of Qetaifan Projects’ continuous commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and the United Nations Global Compact principles, the following initiatives highlight our key environmental, social, and awareness-driven actions that contribute to Qatar National Vision 2030 and support the goals of Qatar Sustainability Week 2025.
1. Mangrove Plantation Project – Qetaifan Island North

Description:
In partnership with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Qetaifan Projects organized a mangrove planting activity along the island’s shoreline. More than 1,000 mangrove seedlings were planted to enhance biodiversity, protect coastal areas, and contribute to carbon absorption. This initiative reflects our long-term goal of preserving Qatar’s natural heritage and promoting environmental awareness among employees and community members.
2. Waste Management Awareness Drive – Construction Site Sustainability

Description:
As part of Qetaifan Projects’ sustainability program, the company launched a site-wide awareness drive focusing on waste segregation, recycling, and responsible material usage during construction. The initiative engaged project contractors and consultants to adopt eco-friendly construction practices aligned with GSAS standards and the country’s sustainability objectives.
3. Sustainable Master Planning – Qetaifan Island North Development

Description:
Qetaifan Island North has been designed and developed following GSAS 2-Star Master Plan certification, emphasizing sustainable design principles such as efficient energy systems, water management, green landscaping, and walkable neighborhoods. The development promotes community well-being, environmental protection, and long-term economic value creation serving as a model for sustainable waterfront living in Qatar.
4. Youth Empowerment Through Sports – Aspire Academy Collaboration

Description:
As part of its CSR commitment to youth and sports, Qetaifan Projects partnered with Aspire Academy to support youth football initiatives that promote teamwork, discipline, and physical well-being. This collaboration aligns with the social development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030 and fosters a culture of healthy, active living among young generations.
5. UN Global Compact Membership & Corporate Sustainability Commitment

Description:
Qetaifan Projects officially joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), reaffirming its commitment to responsible business practices in line with the Ten Principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.
6. Students at the Heart Conference – Oryx University
Category: Education & CSR Engagement
Description:
Qetaifan Projects participated as Platinum Sponsor of the Students at the Heart Conference 2025 hosted by Oryx University, reinforcing its commitment to youth development and sustainability education. During the event, Qetaifan Projects presented “CSR in Real Estate Development – The Path to Sustainable Business”, outlining how CSR principles guide Qetaifan’s marketing, community, and real-estate strategies to create long-term social value.
7. CSR Summit 2025 – Award for Excellence in Sustainable Real Estate

8. Lecture at Qatar University – Sustainability in Real Estate Development
