The Municipality of Al Daayen and IKEA Qatar will hold a collaborative initiative during Sustainability Week 2026 to promote Henna (Lawsonia inermis) — one of the Arabian Peninsula's most resilient and culturally significant plants and a species already naturalised across Doha's urban landscape. Through public engagement, educational programming, heritage seed collection, and green retail integration, this partnership aims to reconnect residents with Qatar's natural and cultural heritage while advancing shared sustainability goals. The Municipality of Al Daayen will supply Henna seedlings propagated from local stock. IKEA Qatar will distribute seedling kits at its Doha store. Each kit will include a care card with Arabic and English planting instructions.The following activities are proposed across the Sustainability Week period :
