Earthna is welcoming the Qatar Natural History Group for a family day in the field site of its Mangrove Restoration Project in Al Ruwais. Dr. Aspa D. Chatziefthimiou, the Chief Scientific Officer of the Project, will lead the group in an exploration of the mangrove forest and the wonderful and colorful animals that inhabit it. Along the Project’s partner team from Agrico, Dr. Aspa will teach families how to become nature stewards by getting hands and feet dirty restoring the forest, caring for seedlings in our coastal nurseries and receiving sites. Before departure, every family member will get to pick from our coastal nursery the mangrove seedling that speaks to their heart, and plant it in our receiving site, thus helping us reach our goal of restoring, afforesting and reforesting 40 hectares of coastline in Qatar.
