Event Description:
As part of Qatar Sustainability Week 2025, this engaging session brings together design creativity and sustainable thinking under one roof. The event aims to raise awareness about how interior design decisions can contribute to environmental responsibility while maintaining functionality and aesthetics.
The first session, led by Architect Nima V N, Award-winning Designer and Founder of NNI Associates, will focus on “From Overseas Brief to Indian Sites: Do’s & Don’ts for NRIs in Interior Design.” The talk offers practical guidance for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) on translating design aspirations into reality, understanding local site constraints, and achieving quality outcomes while maintaining design intent.
The second session, presented by Eng. Dilba Midlaj, Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering and Sustainability Researcher, is titled “Sustainable Interiors: Designing with a Green Heart.” It highlights how material selection, resource efficiency, and thoughtful planning can reduce the carbon footprint of interior projects and align with Qatar’s journey toward a net-zero future.
Through this discussion, participants will gain insights into blending aesthetics with environmental consciousness — reflecting the spirit of Qatar National Vision 2030 and the goals of Qatar Sustainability Week.
