CLOTHING BANK

The Clothing Bank, hosted during CMU-Q’s Qatar Sustainability Week in collaboration with the CMU-Q Student Majles, invites community members to exchange gently used clothing for trade tickets, which can later be redeemed for new-to-them items. This activity symbolizes a conscious shift away from fast fashion toward a circular, community-driven economy. By encouraging the repurposing and recycling of pre-loved apparel, the drive directly reduces textile waste and promotes sustainable consumption habits. Participants benefit from refreshing their wardrobes sustainably, reducing their carbon footprint, and actively fostering a culture of mindful sharing across campus.
