Reflecting our commitment to making QF a more sustainable environment, we are piloting a Car-Free Day within Education City’s South Campus on Tuesday, October 26, from 5.30am to 6pm.

By changing the way we travel to and from work, we can experience the possibilities that alternative, more sustainable modes of transport offer us, and contribute to the worldwide goal of reducing our collective carbon footprint. Through this initiative, we aim to encourage our wider community to think about how we can all be actively sustainable citizens.  

You can park your car in the Academies Car Park or Oxygen Park Parking and rent a scooter, use the Education City Tram – which will operate from 5.30am to 9pm - or simply enjoy a stroll to your destination within Education City. Those with special needs are entitled to receive a Special Pass for their transport needs on Car-Free Day, and these are available by contacting your building focal point. 

We advise people using the Metro to come to Education City to please wear comfortable shoes if you are planning to walk to your destination. Further updates will be provided ahead of the day.
