As part of its continued commitment to sustainability and community engagement, Northwestern Qatar will host a desert cleanup near the Singing Sand Dunes on Friday, October 31, 2025.

Organized by the NU-Q Wellbeing and Community Committee, the event will bring together faculty, staff, students, and their families for an afternoon dedicated to environmental stewardship and collective action.

The initiative supports Northwestern Qatar’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices within and beyond the campus community.

The cleanup will be held in collaboration with DEAP Qatar, a volunteer-based organization leading community cleanups and environmental education initiatives across the country.
