Sustainable Hospitality at Naufar – Small Actions, Lasting Impact
Naufar
As part of Qatar Sustainability Week 2026, Naufar's Hospitality Department will promote sustainable practices across its daily operations, encouraging staff and patients to contribute to environmental responsibility through simple, practical actions.
The initiative will focus on four key areas:
- Responsible Food Consumption: Raising awareness of mindful food consumption, appropriate portion sizes, and reducing avoidable food waste while respecting individual nutritional and clinical requirements.
- Food Waste Reduction: Promoting good practices in food preparation, storage, and service to minimize unnecessary waste and improve resource efficiency.
- Sustainable Hospitality: Encouraging environmentally responsible practices, including reducing disposable materials, improving waste segregation, and promoting responsible resource use.
- Water and Energy Conservation: Highlighting simple measures to reduce unnecessary water and electricity consumption across Hospitality operations without compromising service quality, hygiene, or safety.
Through staff engagement, practical demonstrations, and awareness messages integrated into daily activities, the initiative aims to encourage lasting behavioral change and strengthen environmental responsibility within Naufar.
The programme supports Naufar's commitment to sustainability and Qatar National Vision 2030 by demonstrating how small improvements in everyday hospitality practices can collectively contribute to a more resource-efficient and environmentally responsible healthcare environment.
