The QKONS Education City Tram Integration is a sustainability initiative led by QKONS in collaboration with Green Island and supported by the City Operations team at Qatar Foundation. The initiative aims to promote the use of the Education City Tram as a low-carbon, sustainable transportation option for students, staff, and visitors. Through this collaboration, NFC-enabled tags are installed inside trams, allowing users to tap and record their rides within the QKONS app, earning sustainability points and tracking their contribution to carbon reduction. This initiative not only encourages greener commuting habits but also aligns with Qatar Foundation’s broader goal of fostering a sustainable and environmentally conscious community.
