Students from the QAK Eco Club, Alnawar, Maryam, Hissa, and Reem, are leading Plastic for Cause, a sustainability initiative that collects plastic bottles and caps and other recyclable plastics to support a meaningful social cause. The collected materials will be donated to hospitals or organizations that transform the recycled plastics into prosthetic limbs or any other medical devices for people in need, or to companies that would exchange the recyclables for donation that will be used for the medical cause. The project combines environmental awareness with compassion—reducing plastic waste while improving lives. Students are currently designing recyclable collection boxes, organizing storage, and contacting potential partners to implement the exchange process. This initiative demonstrates how youth-led actions can merge sustainability with community care to create tangible positive change.
