Qatar Sustainability Awards 2018 – Building Contractor

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd submitted an entry for the Qatar

Sustainability Awards 2018, organized by Qatar Green Building

Council.

The entry was made for the category of ‘Green Service Providers’,

under the sub category of ‘Building Contractor’ and captures the

main activities of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd on the Systems,

Rolling Stock and Trackwork project for Qatar Rail’s Doha Metro

Phase 1 Development.

The submission celebrates Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd approach

on Sustainability, spanning from corporate level Environment and

Sustainability principles all the way down through the project

structure to the numerous sustainability measures and activities

implemented on the project.

The submission captured the various sustainability initiatives during

design and construction of the main metro facilities, key aspects of

the trackwork and systems installations, and the rolling stock itself.

All of which contribute to Qatar Rail’s drive for a sustainable

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd is delighted to be announced as the

winner of the Building Contractor category for the 2018

Sustainability Awards, and congratulates Qatar Green Building
