What is Qatar Sustainability Week?

A nationwide campaign that promotes sustainable practices across communities and organizations encouraging collective action towards a more sustainable future. Each edition features hundreds of events across multiple categories; awareness activities, fairs and exhibitions, family and school activities, strategic sustainability inititiaves, Nutrition and wellness, offers from green businesses, and technical seminars or conferences.

Who organizes it?


The week is organized by Earthna Center for a Sustainable Future, a member of Qatar Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.

What is the objective?


To inspire behavioral change, raise awareness, and drive measurable sustainability actions across Qatar.  The campaign’s core aim is to raise awareness of sustainability and climate issues while turning that awareness into concrete action. It provides a unifying umbrella for hundreds of independently organized activities that support Qatar National Vision 2030, especially its environmental development pillar. It emphasizes on both national-level impact through policies, business practices and infrastructure and everyday lifestyle choices such as energy use, waste reduction, and sustainable mobility.

 

Partner Participation

How can our organization participate?


You can host internal or public-facing sustainability initiatives such as:

  • Workshops or “lunch & learn” sessions 
  • Staff challenges (waste reduction, energy saving, etc.) 
  • Community activations 
  • Awareness campaigns 

Do we need a large budget?


No. Many partners participate through low-cost or no-cost initiatives using existing resources.

Can we run internal-only activities?


Yes, internal engagements are highly valuable and encouraged.

How many activities do we need to run to be part of Qatar Sustainability Week? 

You can run a minimum of one activation and up to as many as your organisation wishes to implement. 

Is there a deadline to join?


Activations run during the week 31 October – 7 November.  Partners are encouraged to confirm and register their activations or initiatives as early as possible before the week. This will allow more visibility of the activations on the website.  

Is Qatar Sustainability Week a conference or an Exhibition?

No.  Qatar Sustainability Week is a national camapign. Sustainable oriented activations take place all over Qatar and are organized and run by hundreds of organizations, encouraging collective action toward a more sustainable future.  

No.  it is not an exhibition, there is no dedicated space for companies to exhibit

 

Events & Programming

Can we host our own event?


Yes, partners are encouraged to organize events aligned with sustainability themes and can host more than one event

Can our event be listed officially?


Yes, once confirmed, you can register by completing the form on the website with all the information related to your event/ activation/ initiative and uploading your logo to be included in the official calendar and communications.

If we run an awareness session, will there be speakers available?
Yes, a curated list of speakers who will volunteer their time during the week can be shared by the QSW team. You can email us on outreach@earthna.qa to get the list. Organizations can choose topics they are interested in and communicate with the thespeakers to confirm availability.

Can Individuals participate?

Individuals CAN NOT register activations, but you can visit the website and participate in any Open to the Public events. 

Can we participate if we are not in Doha?

Unfortunately, Qatar Sustainability Week is for organizations based in Qatar.

 

Branding & Visibility

Can we use Qatar Sustainability Week branding?


Yes, partners will receive a welcome pack including: QSW 2026 logo, guidelines on branding and socila media accounts as soon as they register their initiatives.

Will our participation be promoted?


We encourage organizations to promote their activities on their own social media platforms tagging us. We will accordingly promote on our Earthna Community platforms. Selected activities may be featured across digital platforms and media outreach.

Do you provide toolkits?

Impact & Reporting

Do we need to measure impact?


Basic reporting is encouraged (e.g., number of participants, waste reduced, pledges made).

Will there be a post-event report?


Yes, a summary of outcomes and highlights is typically compiled. You can also send us pictures taken during your activations

 

Education & Community

Can schools or universities participate?


Absolutely. Tailored programs and challenges can be supported.

Are NGOs welcome?


Yes, NGOs and community groups are encouraged to participate.

Where do activities take place?


Across Qatar, you can visit the website home page. All activities are displayed on the map.

Our QSW team is available to support with ideation, information and coordination. You can contact outreach@earthna.qa. Hundreds of activations take place during the week, the team will support as much as they can.
