Qatar International Golf Club - Sustainability Field Trip

Sustainability is critical to the vision of Qatar International Golf Club and together with GEO (Golf Environmental Organization) the projects sustainability features center around enhancing nature, conserving resources and supporting local communities. This detailed process begins at the design stage and carries through to the operation of the golf course. Examples can be found within; - Preserving and saving local trees indigenous to Qatar - Reducing water usage through a perch water table and gravity flow drainage - Utilizing raw material from the site produced during excavation Students from Qatar Academy - Sidra will discover how these initiatives among others are integrated into the project during the construction phase for the benefit of future sustainability.
